BBC International Headquarters Keynote

What an honor to be invited by colleagues at the BBC to give a talk entitled “Who Owns the Truth” to a select group of reporters, producers, and managers at the BBC Broadcasting House in London.

I gave a 30 minute talk and presentation, followed by an open conversation with leaders at the BBC on the subjects of fact-checking, veracity, public faith in the media, and the role of established media organizations in this era of so much social media dissemination. So many brilliant minds, so many groundbreaking ideas.

I hope that our conversation generated some new ways of thinking about the challenges facing the news industry, and sparked some ideas for how we might address them, which is one of the most important and pressing issues of our time.
